We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Market Research Consultant

We are looking for a dynamic, seasoned market research consultant, to support a rapidly growing consumer and life insurance business by effectively providing strategic market insights. The market research consultant will be responsible for working with business owners, defining research plans, and translating market insight into actionable outcomes for the business. The market research consultant will leverage his/her knowledge of consumer research methodologies (as well as some B2B) to work with our research team and bring information that is synthesized from multiple sources into our business decision making process to help grow and expand our business.

Job Responsibilities

1. Work closely with internal clients groups to:

a. Help define strategic insight needs

b. Prioritize research needs and methodologies to execute to support the strategic plan

c. Review existing literature and research to measure and understand consumer experience

d. Synthesize and disseminate key insights which are reliable and relevant to the business

e. Participate in reviewing insight and how it could or should be used for the business area

2. Work with our internal team of analysts to:

a. Oversee the successful execution of research projects

b. Translate business needs into market research projects and other opportunities

c. Support survey design creation and methodology choice utilizing accepted market research standards

Competencies/ Experience:

1. Develop strategic client relationships

2. Partnering with clients to translate requirements into market research design

3. Effective communication skills to translate data into insight

3. Use of, and staying current on, multiple consumer market research methodologies

Job Requirements

1. MBA or Advance Degree in related field preferred

2. Five to seven years significant experience in market research

3. Strong bottom-line business orientation and experience; ability to grasp complex strategic business issues

4. Demonstrated ability to utilize, develop, and synthesize market research to drive volume and retention (from a product and a
market/ sales perspective)

5. Ability to properly set and actively manage scope of market research projects

6. Strong influence skills evidenced by significant experience working one-on-one with senior management teams

7. Working knowledge of key market research software such as Access, Excel, SAS, SPSS database manipulation and mining

8. Knowledge of statistical techniques including multivariate analysis, regression analysis, factor analysis, and cluster

9. Demonstrated ability to integrate qualitatively-derived insights into quantitative-based analyses

10. Demonstrated ability to synthesize and distill the results of complex market research and analytics, resolve complex
analytical problems, and communicate to non-technical constituents
