As a member of the Entertainment BU Product Management team, the Manager, Product – Music will be responsible for the management, enhancement and development of existing and new tracking surveys for the Music Entertainment group.
This individual will partner with several cross-functional groups including sales, analysis, client development, marketing, operations, and research sciences to achieve BU objectives. S/he will stay ahead of music industry trends in order to actively identify/pursue new product opportunities and line extensions. The Manager will also be responsible for coordinating and supporting the go to market initiatives for your product portfolio.
This position is in NPD’s Port Washington office.
Manages the day-to-day maintenance of a consumer survey tracking service portfolio. This includes overseeing all aspects of survey trackers and monitors, including executing survey changes and enhancements, prioritization, specifications, product revenue tracking, project timelines, and explaining product requirements to the operations and panel support departments.
Works with corporate Research Science to ensure surveys are employing sound survey methodology and weighting/projections. Works with Panel and Operations to ensure sufficient/proper sampling, obtain budget estimates and oversee timelines.
Works closely with the Entertainment Business and Client Development departments to ensure that prospect/client requests are met. Monitors prospect and client call/meeting reports, identifying areas of new product/reporting opportunity. Works with Director to develop new product proposals and recommend product enhancements that support the business and client development team’s sales efforts resulting in achieving your product revenue budgets.
4-6 years Market Research experience, including online survey research design and managing tracking studies, required.
Experience in media/entertainment research a big plus; knowledge of current music industry highly desirable.
Extremely detailed oriented. Strong cross-functional and project management skills.
Proficient in MS Office products. (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Experience with NPD software or other database software a plus.
