The Product Liaison with the Consumer Technology team is responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective processes. He/She will work with the BU Product Leads, Client Development, Research Sciences, and Operations. This position will have great exposure to all of the key functions within NPD that touch Product.
This position will be based in NPD’s Port Washington, New York office.
•Facilitate accurate and timely communication of needs between Consumer Technology and Support Groups, such as Operations and Research Sciences
•Daily business management as it relates to Product/Research Sciences/Operations
•Support basic attribute and data quality questions and responses on behalf of the Business Unit
•Continual tracking and management of product initiatives within SharePoint, the business management tool
•Streamline (and in some cases create) the processes that take place between Product, Operations and Research Sciences to ensure they are working together effectively in areas such as troubleshooting day-to-day issues, new product inventions, special projects, etc.
•Manage data upgrades
•5-8 years Market Research experience with consumer data, on client or supplier side. Experience managing full-service custom research studies or work as a data analyst is highly desired.
•Strong communication/presentation skills.
•Solid understanding of POS and Consumer data, including research methodology, survey design, and reporting.
•Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to manage the details while keeping an eye on the big picture.
•Knowledge of Technology industry preferred.
•Proficient in MS Office products. (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
