Urban Airship offers Mobile Relationship Management (MRM) solutions that enable brands and marketers to earn and maintain a presence on their customers' mobile devices in order to build brand awareness, engage users, drive conversions and increase customer loyalty. Its cross-platform solutions manage the end-to-end process of delivery customer-and location-targeted mobile push messages and Apple Passbook and Google Wallet passes including consulting services and analytics to optimize effectiveness.
The marketing communications intern focuses on short- and long-form writing assignments associated with marcoms and public relations.

Responsibilities/Primary Functions:
Content marketing (40%): Write and edit marketing collateral documents that are used to promote Urban Airship's software and services.
Social media (40%): Write short-form posts (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and long-form blog posts about Urban Airship news and customers to enhance our brand.
Customer marketing (10%): Write and format customer case studies for print and web distribution.
Sales enablement (10%): Support the creation of presentations and/or sales tools such as information sheets.

Experience and Skills:
Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, English, Journalism, PR or Marketing strongly preferred. Grads and New Grads encouraged!
Exceptional writing skills in a journalistic (non-academic) style; knowledge of AP Style a plus.
Proven social media skills on behalf of brands; knowledge of top social platform. conventions required, knowledge of social tools (Hootsuite) a plus.
Editing skills at a business level; shows professional polish.
Skilled in communications platforms, especially Word, Powerpoint, InDesign and web site content management systems .

Capable of working with limited supervision/instruction and adapting to shifting priorities and project timelines
Strong research, assessment and analytical skills to look critically at written documents or research, and revise/package as appropriate
