For Sears Auto the marketing administrator provides general administrative support to the Chief Marketing Officer and the team while working under limited supervision. The position uses broad knowledge of department operations, policies and procedures in performing a variety of routine and non-routine administrative duties.
• Administration of Departmental Expense Tracking
• Control of Marketing Invoice processing and documentation, with some vendor interaction and coordination.
• Assists management in planning and managing time by making appointments, travel arrangements, and meeting arrangements that may require coordination between departments and outside parties.
• Composes, prepares, edits and proofreads letters, reports, presentations and other work documents with little direction.
• Researches and obtains information for routine and moderately complex reports and special assignments. Executes special or continuous research and moderately complex data analysis. Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports.
• May organize large meetings/events including coordinating agendas, planning logistics, meeting equipment needs, and more.
• Answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages.
• Answers routine correspondence and routes mail to the appropriate persons.
• Manages routine administrative processes for the department which may include: ordering supplies, processing travel expenses, processing payments, and researching charges to department budget.
• May be asked for assistance with non-routine duties as needed by management.
Skill/Experience Requirements
• A minimum of three years of administrative experience.
• Intermediate level proficiency with a personal computer and Microsoft Office software. Knowledge of or the ability to learn other systems may be required.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to act as a representative of the department/management team. Deal with others courteously and professionally, even in difficult situations.
• Able to balance many, and sometimes conflicting, priorities. Keep deadlines straight and manage workload to business needs.
• Maintains confidentiality when necessary; can judge situations that require discretion and acts confidentially even when not specifically directed.
• Typically requires a broad knowledge of departmental and company operations, policies, and procedures or the ability to become knowledgeable in an appropriate period of time.
