Basic Function/ Purpose

The Marketing Assistant

is primarily responsible for maintaining all agent records.

Duties and Responsibilities

Handle Marketing department phone calls

and mailbox.

Responsible for new agent setup and approval process.

Assign new agent code and setup in Salesforce and Agency Management System.

Handle agent suspension and cancellations, as applicable.

Responsible for scanning all corresponding agent records.

Provide support for all Marketing Representatives.

Other duties/projects as assigned.

Technical

Competencies

High school diploma or equivalent.

Some college is preferred, but not required.

1-2 years insurance experience preferred.

Knowledge of basic clerical functions.

Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Office, AS400).

Good organizational skills and attention to detail required.

Type 40-50 words per minute.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Must be able to effectively and clearly present information and answer questions in a wide variety of situations.

·

Must be able to read and interpret written reports and various forms of written communication and respond in an appropriate manner.

·

Ability to communicate with people in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

·

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages and proportions.

Agent termination suspension- UAC sent to Support Center within 24 hours to request to deactivate.

·

Accuracy of data.

Communication and service- Must respond to emails and phone calls same day.

Appointment setup- within 24 hours.

Additional Dimensions

·

This is an individual contributor role and operates within defined levels of authority.

·

This is a full-time (approximately 40-hour) position.

·

Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8a-5p.

Job Autonomy/ Accountability

·

Meets minimum thresholds around performance (production as allowable by law, behavior, and attendance).

·

Participates in special projects as assigned.
