Simon and Schuster is seeking a Marketing Coordinator for Gallery, Pocket, and Threshold Books, as well as Pocket Star. This person will support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for a wide range of genres, from celebrity nonfiction to literary fiction to romance and urban fantasy books to conservative political titles. |
--Conceptualizing and executing outreach to bookselling accounts, bloggers, book clubs, and other third parties for cross-promotion and giveaways
--Helping devise marketing plans for distinct titles and genres, plus e-book-only imprint Pocket Star
--Managing social media accounts: post preparation and scheduling, fan interaction, and long-term strategic marketing initiatives
--Managing imprints' GoodReads account for giveaways
--Assisting with content creation and maintenance for romance genre website, plus creation and design of book-specific websites
--Compiling company-wide weekly publicity and marketing round-ups
--Handling administrative responsibilities for the department including mailings and bill processing
Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, as well as general computer skills are expected. Experience with basic HTML and design software (Photoshop and InDesign) a plus.
