Horizon House, an upscale retirement community on Seattle's First Hill, has an immediate opening for a full-time Sales/Marketing Associate. Working with and under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Sales/Marketing Associate is a key member of the Horizon House sales team serving as a liaison with other departments in the new resident move-in process. S/he will actively participate in the customer service program for the organization. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some Saturday and weekend hours may be necessary as may extended weekday time if required for special projects, events or meetings with prospective residents.
The essential duties of the Sales/Marketing Associate are: builds relationships with prospective residents by actively working the Wait List and making follow-up calls; generates leads and closes sales; conducts facility tours and prospective resident consultations, leading to additions to the Wait List and closure of IL apartment sales; coordinates new resident move-ins with appropriate Horizon House departments and moving companies; works with Renovations Department to assure timely and responsive communications with new residents throughout the renovations process. In addition theSales/ Marketing Associate participates in marketing presentations and events, maintains REPS data base, participates in organizational Quality Improvement and other committees as requested, and completes other projects as assigned by supervisory staff.
Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a command of the English language, sales ability and leadership skills as well as a sincere interest in working with or on behalf of older adults. The Sales/Marketing Associate provides skill and experience in the context of a relationship-based sales culture and supports the advancement of customer service throughout Horizon House by modeling excellent customer services practices and principles. This position requires a proven record of successful high end sales, proven expertise in relationship marketing, excellent computer skills, familiarity with spreadsheets and cost projections forecasting sales quotas and goals. Customer Relations experience is desirable. A minimum of five year experience in sales and marketing procedures is required. College degree preferred.
