Marketing Communications Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as chief point of contact and account manager for promotional campaigns for the ACC’s educational programs and other offerings.

Work with business line and Associate Director, Marketing Communications to develop targeted, effective campaigns for each program offered.

Coordinate with Marketing Communications team to monitor and track all promotional plan milestones. Create regular reports to assist in strategic decision making.

Analyze results of campaigns and share findings with Marketing Communications team and other ACC stakeholders.

Utilize project tracking system to develop and manage timelines, budgets, expenses and integrate communications team support for each project/campaign as appropriate.

Routinely interface with production staff to collaboratively manage the production process that governs every promotional campaign: explore specs, seek estimates, review and select from a menu of proposed promotional treatments, approve bluelines.

Provide backup, as needed, to marketing communications team to execute a wide variety of promotions.

Represent ACC at Annual Scientific Session and other live events as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications.

Three + years of marketing communication experience with expertise in developing and executing targeted, effective campaigns that drive results.

Extensive direct mail experience including list research and management.

Ability to manage multiple promotions and campaigns simultaneously.

Proficiency building and using tools to track and report out performance of multiple marketing campaigns.

Effective communicator with the ability to interface with a variety of internal and external clients including program managers, program directors and staff.

Good writing skills and ability to work with communications team or consultants to develop compelling, targeted, results-oriented copy.

Proficiency with standard desktop software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications:
Previous communications experience in association, medical society or cardiology-specific corporation.
