The Marketing Communications Specialist will assist in developing a marketing strategy for the broker dealer that aligns with the Company’s goals and objectives, and delivers on the four primary marketing responsibilities; assist advisor recruiting, brand development to support advisor recruiting, assist advisor retention and assist organic growth/same store sales. The Marketing Communications Specialist will assist with the development and coordination of marketing communications and collateral.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day needs involving written and visual communication for internal and external audiences.
Proofread conference books, biographies and announcements for company style and tone
Gather information, fact check, obtain approvals, edit and write marketing content (biographies, articles, newsletters, social media content) in consistent, succinct manner
Works with the Marketing Director in the development of communication plans for new products, regulatory changes, and other critical information important to advisors.
Supports established priorities, ensure that deadlines are met, and content is consistent and accurate.
Supports the maintenance of content on the external web sites
Adheres to corporate brand standards throughout the creative process.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Strong skills in editing, proofing, writing, and design concept
Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizations and project management skills; Ability to multi-task.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, as well as other departments, in a collaborative environment.
Creativity; ability to think out of the box and drive change.
Strong attention to detail.
Education, Training, and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Relevant work experience, preferably within the financial services industry
Demonstrated experience in the coordination of marketing strategies
FINRA Series 6 or 7 obtained within the first 6 months of hire
