Wedbush Securities, one of the nations leading financial services providers, is seeking a Marketing Coordinator of New Media to support the marketing teams social media, website, public relations and other interactive communication activities.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications, the position provides an excellent opportunity to build upon initial responsibilities and grow with one of the nations leading financial institutions. Candidates must possess a positive, "can-do" attitude and be eager to work on various projects with a cohesive, demanding team.

Assist in the overall strategy and delivery of social media content across the firms corporate Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn channels to increase engagement and follower count
Create and facilitate online and social media activities to expand the corporate brand online experience
Monitor the various corporate websites and public internet profiles and reputation, facilitating updates as needed, reporting and providing problems, fresh ideas and innovative solutions to management as needed
Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to all applicable digital solutions as well as Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns as needed
Assist financial professionals firm-wide in the adoption of social media for business use through education, profile creation assistance, troubleshooting technical issues and ongoing content support
Coordinate and digitally promote video recordings with national news networks such as CNBC, FOX Business, Bloomberg TV for live interviews of our executives
Cultivate the relationship with third party social media archiving vendor, maintain quality control checks on the technology they provide as well as the regulatory processes internally implemented
Coordinate and maintain all social media, online and public relations activity databases and provide analytics reporting to senior management as needed
Monitor industry, competitor and social network developments to identify potential new marketing and technology opportunities and enhancements
Some administration work required

Experience and Skills

Must be an exceptional communicator who is proficient in inner workings and evolving best practices of Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn as well as social media monitoring, measurement and benchmarking
B.A. / B.S. in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, or related fields
2-4 years of relevant corporate experience
Previous financial background not required, but strong interest in learning the financial services industry is a must
Microsoft Office Suite with in-depth knowledge of Excel
Willingness to learn new tools and seek out information to stay at the forefront of new media
Strong conceptual-thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently but also function effectively as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills, highly collaborative, and builds strong relationships at all levels
