We have an immediate need for a Marketing Coordinator who is highly proactive with strong communication and project management skills. Working with the entire marketing team and reporting to the V.P. Marketing, this position will be critical in taking Coupa’s marketing leadership to the next level. This person will have the opportunity to make tremendous impact at one of the leading cloud companies in the industry on an exceptional team of marketers. This full-time position is located in San Mateo.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demand Generation: Assist our demand generation efforts by assisting with all aspects of list and contact management in Marketo.


  • Customer Advocate: Responsible for working with our Corporate Communications department, on the recruitment and development of existing Coupa customers to participate in our Customer Advocate program. Requires developing meaningful relationships with our customers to develop key opportunities including customer videos, case studies, speaking opportunities, etc.


  • Project Management: Responsible for the project management of SFDC customer reference software implementation. Must proactively manage the external vendor to ensure target dates are met. Also requires project management of internal stakeholders to ensure true value is achieved on time and on budget.


  • Event Management: Working with events manager to coordinate logistics for field marketing events including roadshows, customer appreciation events, and our annual Coupa INSPIRE user conference.


  • Marketing Analytics: Working with demand generation and online marketing team to ensure that weekly marketing analytics are updated and disseminated with the team.


  • Sales Tools: Assist in the ongoing production and management of sales tools including videos, white papers, and brochures. Includes updating and management of communication vehicles to the sales team including our asset inventory and marketing events calendar, as well as managing translations and transcriptions.


  • Skills & Experience Desired

  • Up to 2 years of previous experience in marketing or communications for a software company
  • Must have a BA in marketing, communications or journalism
  • Experience with marketing automation tools like Marketo or Eloqua is a plus
  • Strives for delivering excellence with short timeframes

  • Is creative, takes risks and tries new ideas
  • Independent self-starter that can work in a fast environment.
  • Able to travel 10-15%


  • This is an entry level hourly position.
