The Marketing Coordinator position is mainly responsible for providing support to Subway ® franchisees, field staff, and local advertising agencies by collecting and sharing best practices, interpreting and providing direction on company policies and procedures, coordinating and organizing materials for local promotions and also providing general assistance with budgeting, board elections and any other duties as assigned.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Field Support: Provide excellent customer service to franchisees and field staff while providing them with policy clarification and direction. Assist local advertising markets with budgeting, coordinate board elections with Headquarters to ensure each market has a current representative. Conduct periodic surveys and assign new stores to the correct open market. Process requests for submarkets, market mergers or realignments.
- Marketing/Advertising : Provide assistance to staff and local markets by gathering information such as best practices, sample advertising, and/or competitor information. Lead the development of marketing calendars in smaller countries with no local marketing staff.
- Production: Organize the printing, production and fulfillment of advertising kits in applicable regions (Caribbean, Central America, etc.). Troubleshoot and coordinate the entire production and fulfillment process while collaborating with other departments where rules and/or guidelines are needed (i.e.: compliance guidelines, product preparation, etc).
- Local Agencies: Assist in the contracting, orientation, training and transition of new local ad agencies. Maintain a database of representatives as well as local ad agency contacts for the assigned regions. Provide liaison ad hoc assistance on special projects or invoice payments in critical situations.
Position requirements include a BA/BS degree required and 1+ years of experience in similar role preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English is required; fluency in Portuguese helpful. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
