Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.Summary: Works with Marketing Director, local marketing staff and colleagues in other offices to complete a variety of marketing-related projects. The Marketing Coordinator is a central person in the department and is involved in a variety of projects, including coordinating and supervising projects. It is essential that the Marketing Coordinator is a self-starter, work across offices, and work well in a team.Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates teleconferences, seminars and receptions in the Western Region for clients and prospective clients and assists with event-planning elsewhere as needed.Works with Marketing Director, Western Region, and Marketing Specialist to develop local procedures for mailing list usage and event production for all five (5) offices: Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Palo Alto and San Francisco. Maintains the InterAction database (contact management system) of enterprise contacts used by Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, San Francisco offices and relevant practice groups.Coordinates all distribution of client entertainment tickets, including weekly calendar updates, tracking spending, and identifying key events for specific client development activities such as practice focused events, Alumni events, or other office-specific events.Works directly with the Director of Alumni Relations to help coordinate and organize the firmwide alumni activities.Liases with creative group to complete promotional materials, advertisements and invitations and, when necessary.Liaises with lawyers to produce updates and newsletters and distributes to clients; includes placement of information on the Firms website, as well as coordinating occasional publication in external venues.Works with assigned Practice Area Team to prepare client proposals and pitches, through formal RFP response processes as well as on an ad hoc basis. Also may be called upon to handle pitches for other lawyers in LA and the Western Region, outside assigned PATs.Works with assigned Practice Area Teams and local office to prepare and coordinate year-in-review reports for use in various industry survey submissions, e.g. Chambers USA.Works with Marketing Director, Western Region to create and submit individual 'top lawyer' submissions for Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Palo Alto and San Francisco, e.g. Daily Journal Top Lawyer submissions. Writes and edits practice group descriptions, lawyer biographies and client presentations to further develop the Firms business development opportunities. Works with the Market Intellengence group to coordinate research on clients/prospective clients, industry research and occasional competitive intelligence to develop knowledge about our clients, their industries and legal needs.Helps to develop and impliment systems to acquire and manage representative experience lists; facilitates maintenance of experience databases for Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Palo Alto and San Francisco, and works with Market Intelegence group to impliment these local systems. May assist in maintaining inventory of client gifts, including working with other offices to order new items. Tracks distribution of gifts in local offices.Work on special projects as requested by department management and lawyers.
