Position supports the marketing & sales organizations. Requires an understanding of marketing, data analysis, relational databases, data mining, and campaign management applications such as Unica.

Responsibilities
·
Provide expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and analyze data and report results. Ensure quality, accuracy, completeness of record profiles and adherence to established standards.

· Monitor for timely and accurate completion of select data elements. Identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action for correction.

· Utilize campaign management system to run queries and execute list pulls supporting sales & marketing initiatives (demand generation, circulation, and cross-sell initiatives, etc.).

· Translate business requirements into data requirements with a deep understanding of marketing objectives and available data attributes.

· Use business intelligence tools to provide analytic and advisory consulting based on customer insights. Design quality dashboards and create ad-hoc reports as needed.

Collaborate with Marketing Database team to provide high quality reports and analyses that help drive business revenue.
Experience/Skills Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years of database and direct marketing experience required, within B-to-B or publishing preferred.

Proficiency with MS Access & Excel, knowledge of Cognos or UNICA a plus.

Programming skills preferred, adept at querying databases, knowledge of SQL desirable.

Experience using SAS, SPSS, or other statistical packages desirable for analyzing large datasets.

Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate

Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner

Education or experience in performing data quality and/or data management.

Ability to understand marketing business plans and objectives to identify and recommend process improvements.

Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with a strong customer orientation.

Must have strong attention to detail skills.

Ability to multi-task, work independently and meet deadlines.

Experience using internet engines & social networking sites.
