GTECH Printing Corporation is seeking a qualified Marketing Database Analyst to perform a variety of job duties. Position reports to the Sr. Business Intelligence Manager and supports the marketing and sales department as well as other functional areas of the company.
The Marketing Database Analyst applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach for database management and applications development for the automated capture of industry lottery game and sales data from a variety of nonstandardized sources report inputs. Development of forms applications and web applications to facilitate database input and information dissemination to key stakeholders such as account executives, site managers, marketing professionals and clients. Modify existing applications, makes changes, designs report and work on requests for software new services.
Ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
Relational database management systems, including proficiency with at least one of the following platforms: SQL Server, Oracle
Creating automated and customized queries and reports using development tools such as Crystal Reports / Business Objects.
Developing web applications for purposes of developing a sales and marketing database portal and game catalogue for internal sales and marketing employee as well as client usage
Creating graphically robust marketing, sales and trend reporting tools
Successful candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS or related field of study preferred.
Minimum of 2-5 years of related experience which should include:
experience in database and applications development with emphasis on the following skills:
working knowledge of relational database management systems, such as SQL Server or Oracle ;
creating automated and customized queries and reports using development tools such as Crystal Reports / Business Objects;
developing web applications for purposes of developing a sales and marketing database portal and game catalogue for internal sales and marketing employee as well as client usage;
design and maintenance of databases for purposes of market analyses and performance benchmarking;
knowledge of consumer product data gathering and analysis.
Position also requires:
knowledge and use of C# or VB.NET, SQL / T-SQL, SQL Server, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, .NET Framework, IIS, Crystal Reports;
Mathematics and/or statistics background a plus;
Marketing background a plus;
XML and/or SharePoint development are pluses;
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office suite;
Ability to provide collaboration and support in team environment;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Proficient with Microsoft Access;
Must be able to communicate complicated information in a clear, concise and actionable manner;
Must be able to gather and analyze data to discern patterns and trends;
Excellent organizational skills;
Must exercise a high degree of creativity in developing solutions. Seek to continually improve processes and procedures.
