. The Database Marketing department plays a key role in the growth of Staples Advantage through customer analytics, direct marketing strategy and execution as well as channel integration. The Marketing Database Analyst will be responsible for designing and executing marketing campaigns across channels. The role is tailored for individuals who possess good database knowledge and interest in pursuing a career in database marketing industry. We are looking for an individual with superior attention to details, able to master complex processes and concepts, with can-do attitude and desire to continuously take on new challenges.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Define Campaign Requirements: Liaise with internal clients to understand campaigns and translate high-level program designs into business rules and data requirements. Work individually or in team in planning and designing campaigns
Campaign Set up and execution: Based on campaign requirements, create and execute campaign using Alterian software. Perform quality assurance control steps to ensure that all lists meet selection criteria and are free of data irregularities. Deliver list in a timely manner. Continuous process improvement: Evaluate current processes, technology and methods to identify scale and efficiency opportunities with the database marketing team and with our vendors
Work with analysts and database marketing teams to help identify data needed to support future customer growth, marketing, and analytical needs
Process and Document Support: Manage and support several database team processes including contact management requests, documentation and archiving
Minimum Basic Skills
2 yrs to 6 yrs with marketing database/campaign software experience
Minimum 1 y
of experience in understanding of relationship databases
Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) in Marketing, Information Technology
Superior proficiency in Excel, Access
nalytical and problem solving skills
Good database knowledge
Strong attention to details, ability to prioritize and multitask
Positive attitude, team player with professional demeanor
Dependable, proactive, flexible and eager to learn new skills
Effective at communicating with technical and non technical colleagues
