Basic Purpose Oversee the day-to-day marketing initiatives for a global organization that drives brand recognition and business growth. Principal Accountabilities Select, train, develop, motivate, and evaluate a competent work force. Responsible for executing the vision of the Vice President in the areas of corporate marketing and branding, program marketing and launch management, market research, tradeshow events, and sales tool development in support of NSF goals. Work closely with Communications, Business Development, Regulatory Affairs and Business Unit leaders to ensure all program activities are aligned with and build upon the total marketing and sales strategy company-wide. Develop and execute the short and long term global multi-channel marketing plans organization wide. Research, analyze, develop and implement branding strategies necessary to increase brand awareness of NSF globally. Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans and competitive marketing strategies with business unit leaders, market research manager, marketing managers and BDMs; assess the overall marketplace direction, i.e. identify opportunities and how they should modify/enhance strategy to capitalize on these changes. Ensure the execution of the Marketing department budget in support of NSF overall marketing goals and each division’s marketing goals. . Develop tracking mechanisms to determine effectiveness of individual marketing campaigns where possible. Work with Market Research Manager to identify strengths and weaknesses that will assist or prevent the company achieving its revenue goals, and help develop marketing plans that support NSF’s growth. Plan and implement the company’s trade advertising activities. Oversee development of a process for managing existing and new legal trademarks and their usage. Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or related field. Eight (8) years of direct experience with market planning, trending and strategies in a business-to-business environment. Marketing experience in an NSF-related industry. Experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies Must have both strong analytic/market research, demonstrated creative marketing work including competitive analysis. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate the Company’s strategies into operational objectives and projects. Must be able to effectively manage communication, priorities and workflow across large dispersed teams. Must be able to build and maintain collaborative relationships internally (i.e. across company divisions) as well as with external C-suite level clients, media outlets, associations, regulatory groups, etc. Demonstrated track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that have consistently met or exceeded their objectives; demonstrated track record in ROI. Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a blend of intuitive thinking and quantitative analysis. Demonstrated staff management and leadership skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in marketing or business. 10 or more years experience in marketing Strategic international marketing experience. Experience in multi-channel B2B environments providing business services to other businesses. Marketing experience in food safety industry Additional Details PHYSICAL DEMAND:
Required to sit for long periods of time. May be required to stand for long periods of time. Domestic and international business travel up to 20% annually. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Most work is performed in an office environment. Some work is performed off site at client locations, trade shows, conferences, etc. Smoke free work environment. Closing No phone calls, faxes or postal mail please.
