The Marketing Lead is responsible to the Strategic Missile & Defense Systems (SM&DS) Vice President of Business Development, for marketing activities supporting the division order and revenue goals, and reports to the Sr. Marketing & Operations Manager, Boeing Network & Space Systems. SM&DS is a division of Boeing Network & Space Systems (BN&SS). Marketing activities are focused on sales of SM&DS products/services and capabilities, and include go-to-market plans, marketing print and digital collateral, trade shows, customer events and engagement, order/sales tracking and reporting, and internal support of Business Development efforts.
Specific responsibilities include the following
Assists in the development of division level go-to-market plans with new and existing products/services, including voice of customer, customer segmentation, value proposition, target audience messaging, and campaign materials.
Understands and prioritizes marketing efforts around key product/service sales efforts in the SM&DS Long Range Business Plan, including product and customer (both domestic and international) prioritization.
Manages the production of marketing collateral, both print and digital, used to communicate Boeing solutions to a customer need, and how the Boeing solution is uniquely better-positioned than competitor products/services.
Assists with coordination of trade shows, symposiums, and customer events.
Integrates marketing campaign efforts with division level Communications goals and plans.
Coordinates closely with SM&DS Business Development and Management team, supporting their needs for marketing materials, internal and external presentations, sales launch kits, management review packages.
Engages and collaborates with key Boeing stakeholders including Field Marketing, Customer and Market Engagement teams, Communications, Washington DC Office Legislative team, and Marketing Communications team.
Coordinates with relevant customers as required for the development of marketing collateral and events.
Establishes goals and metrics for measuring division-level marketing efforts and tracks performance, to include budgets, on a monthly basis; shares monthly results with division BD team and BN&SS manager and team.
At least 10-14 years experience in marketing and relevant customer experience (DOD Agencies and Services)
Demonstrated ability to leverage marketing resources to drive new orders and keep sold current programs.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizations to achieve goals
Track record of marketing success in multiple customer segments
Demonstrated multi-channel marketing, strategy or product management experience, across DoD and Federal segments in domestic and international markets preferred
Knowledge and experience with U.S. Government, specifically Department of Defense procurement processes preferred
