DIRECTV is seeking a Marketing Manager for the Acquisition Marketing department focused on supporting the dealer network. This individual will be responsible for managing the messaging, creative development and strategy of consumer and retailer-facing marketing communications and point of sale materials to support the local dealer channel. The Marketing Manager will need to seamlessly execute multiple parallel campaigns, track their performance and identify new opportunities in gaining dealer mindshare and engagement. This role requires strengths in creative development, project management, strategic thought leadership, the ability to work cross-functionally and agency management.

Prior experience with creative management, promotional execution, budget ownership and analytics is required. The candidate will also need to have strong networking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to work effectively both with cross-functional and agency partners.

To make an impact as a Marketing Manager you will:
Manage strategic direction, review and execution of Retail Marketing assets including online and offline marketing tactics. Includes all tactical elements from drafting the creative brief, briefing in the agency, and managing through to release.

Manage execution of Sales Training guides for retailers

Enhance and execute point of sale materials to drive in-store traffic for retailers

Grow dealer engagement and usage of online ad customization tool for dealers and optimize current performance

Manage agency timelines and deliverables for seamless creative transitions

Maintain and drive reporting analyses for online ad customization tool, and consistently report back to senior management

Key liaison for legal review, routing and distributing creative for internal business partners.


Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years’ experience in marketing/advertising.

Prior experience developing creative messaging, promotions, project management and analytics is required.

Excellent project management skills

Ability to manage and leverage business partners to achieve department goals.

Ability to develop and champion creative ideas and shape them through collaboration with other departments

Strong strategic ability to uncover insights and to write briefs and analyze the business accordingly.

Proven ability to give creative direction from a business perspective for marketing and creative materials produced internally or externally.

Previous experience Blue-chip/subscription based product or service (national telephone/wireless/internet service/cable company) a plus

Strong agency account management background desired at the AE/Sr. AE/AS level, from blue chip ad/marketing agency on major clients

Must possess strong communication skills and effective conflict resolution skills, while maintaining ability to challenge thoughts and ideas

Strong attention to detail including English grammar and spelling

Must be able to work with remote team members

Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Up to 15% travel may be required.
