Largest independently owned daily deal company in the country is looking for an outgoing, positive and strong Marketing Manager to join our team. Ideal candidate will develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. Effective management of subscriber lists, marketing, advertising and promotional activities in the email channel.
Work in an office setting at a desk or workstation with a computer terminal. Moderate to heavy phone/fax usage. Some walking. May entail some travel to trade conferences and vendor/service provider meetings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide first hand management and oversight for the day to day operation of the email marketing program including training and support to associates.
Identify and monetize high-converting and high revenue generating subscriber segments.
Keep up to date on email marketing best practices as they affect overall strategy and email deliverability.
Communicate with other departments regarding the status of email marketing and actively seek out channel exclusive offers.
Communicate with email service providers to ensure overall program health.
Gather and analyze open click and conversion rates for program optimization.
Communicate and liaison with other marketing channels to develop customer life cycle marketing strategies.
Strong sales, negotiation, analytical and implementation skills.
Perform annual planning and budget submissions.
Critique and optimize affiliate offerings on an individual and general basis.
Ability to understand and verbalize technical language involved in affiliate implementation.
Aggressively drive sales and program efficiencies.
Prioritize execution strategy based on revenue potential.
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience and degrees required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or business preferred, or relevant work experience.
3 + years digital marketing experience
Email marketing platforms (Email Vision, Responsys, etc.)
Web Analytics Platforms (Google Analytics, CoreMetrics, SiteCatalyst)
HTML markup knowledge and tools a plus
Photo editing/design proficiency a plus
Proficient with Adobe products including Photoshop, Fireworks and Dreamweaver
Microsoft Word/Excel (Microsoft Office)
Knowledge of online metrics and payment models (CPM, CPA, CPC, CPL)
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Outstanding written/verbal communication and presentation skills;
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Self-starter – motivated in nature
