The Marketing Manager for Anna’s Linens manages executions of marketing events including print, television, social, public relations, retail signing to increase brand awareness and store traffic. Collaborates cross-functionally with the Creative, Digital, Merchandise, Store Operations, Finance, Real Estate and Executive teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Manage promotional calendar and advertising expenses
Lead ad review meetings with training, merchandise and store operations team members
Manage targeted initiatives such as sweepstakes, back to school and local market promotions
Manage Customer Survey and Feedback program and vendor relationship
Manage print advertising from profile development, printing, delivery to distributors and households
Manage electronic media advertising: scheduling, managing agency relationship
Communicate and assist field management with marketing efforts
Manage online social network sites
Work closely with Director of Marketing to plan annual budget and update forecast throughout the year as needed
Manage advertising expenses to the budget
Manage in-store sign programs both large format and small
Request and review quotes for marketing collateral and negotiate rates
Continually strive to lower costs by obtaining multiple quotes and negotiating rates for every project
Track and handle all print Ad shortages by communicating with distributors, printer & logistics
Manage Marketing Coordinating and Analyst staff and support their duties as necessary
Review and edit Spanish language Marketing collateral
Manage public relations relationship
Negotiate and execute contracts with vendors, including newspapers and print production.
Contribute to strategic plans, focusing on marketing traffic-driving initiatives
Coordinate with the digital and CRM teams to leverage online promotional opportunities and social media to benefit retail strategies
Take a leadership role in communicating promotional and event strategies and plans to other marketing functions (Creative, CRM, Digital) and other company departments (Merchandise, Operations).
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum 5 years experience working in a Marketing function
Minimum 2 years in a management capacity
Experience working in the retail industry
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Must possess strong communications and writing skills
Strong organizational, time management and project management skills. Proven abilities to effectively manage & complete multiple priorities and projects in a deadline driven environment
Strong analytical skills: capable of effective and efficient use of market research, business forecasts and other quantitative & qualitative data. Demonstrable ability to use such data to help inform and shape marketing strategies, plans, and activities
Experience with mobile and social marketing a plus
Must possess solid negotiations skills
Must possess solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Proven success managing a marketing budget
