Working closely with the product management teams and the region’s sales manager, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of all the marketing activities needed to achieve the annual goals set for agricultural and construction tracks, as well as material handling and construction tires in the aftermarket for Americas.
The Marketing Manager’s mission is to instill a marketing culture, playing a pivotal role between the region (Americas), the business units (Products) and the corporate function (Marketing).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Working with the V.P., Americas and V.P. Global Marketing to develop and implements strategic marketing plan for USA, with coordination from Canada and other export markets.
Develop Sales & Marketing plan for the Americas in conjunction with Product Management, and Engineering for new product development and launch.
Develops and manages marketing operating budgets .
Develops and recommends product positioning packaging, and pricing strategy to maximize long–term market share.
Achieves satisfactory profit ratios and market share in relation to present standards and industry and economic trends.
Management of customer list, vendor, industry contacts.
Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events in accordance with global corporate guidelines
Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
Conduct market surveys to assist with research and development.
Assist in the preparation of presentations and proposals for new and existing customers.
Job qualifications and skills
Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred
Strong team player.
5-10 years in Marketing, with progressive position development, preferably in industrial tire/wheel industry.
Great listener and fast learner.
Product management knowledge
Ability to work in a matrix environment Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and management of diverse staff
Strong database management and organization skills
Working knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Windows, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Demonstration of initiative and problem solving skills
Bilingual English/Spanish an asset
Knowledge of products and services.
