This position will be responsible for overseeing all marketing activities and marketing operations of the firm in the Americas region across all practice areas, developing and implementing best practice approaches.

Key Responsibilities

Branding & Visual Identity – Ensure adherence to the firm's branding and visual identity guidelines for all marketing materials created in the Americas region, including: ensuring the Firm's collection of lawyer photos is complete and up-to-date; overseeing the roll-out of new marketing templates in the Americas region.
Website – Maintain the content, including photos, of the Americas sections of the external website and work with the global website team on associated marketing initiatives;
Marketing Campaigns – Work with Business Development Managers and Practice Area Leaders to develop and execute marketing campaigns for new products and initiatives, including participating in and coordinating major thought leadership initiatives. These initiatives will also lend opportunities to work with our PR team.
Publications – Develop brochures and other marketing collateral. Coordinate the production and distribution of all publications and client memoranda created in the Americas region .
Events – Develop and implement a best practice approach to event management. Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of all client-related events, including client receptions, client dinners, client entertainment and alumni events.
Sponsoring and Speaking Engagements – Coordinate conference sponsorships and partner speaking engagements.
Promotional Items – Maintain and oversee the firm's collection of promotional items, including liaising with vendors.
Directory Submissions – Work with practice are Business Development Managers to coordinate the firm's submissions to legal directories including Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR, including: reviewing submissions for quality and adherence to Firm guidelines, educating partners and BD team members on directory requirements, and preparing Firm profiles and partner bios for inclusion in legal directories.
InterAction – Promote the use of InterAction, a CRM database, increasing the number of partner contacts shared in InterAction, including enhancing regional marketing distribution lists to allow for more targeted marketing efforts; Provide individual InterAction training to partners and associates and liaising with lateral hires to ensure their contacts are shared in the database and added to relevant marketing distribution lists; Work closely with the Director of Business Development and Marketing to use InteraAction as a way to track and assess Return on Investment (ROI) for various events and marketing efforts.
Team Management – Supervise the Client Database Coordinator and the Business Development Administrator.
Other – Support any other cross-practice marketing and business development initiatives as identified by the Director of Business Development and Marketing.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
Minimum five years of marketing experience in a legal environment or professional services firm
Supervisory/management experience
Outstanding judgment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to develop advisory relationships with partners by demonstrating:

Fundamental analytical skills;
Proactive and positive style;
Strong initiative;
Ability to work independently;
A consultative approach;
Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize competing needs; and
An understanding of our clients' commercial objectives and marketplace.
