JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager (Upstream/Midstream)

REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

SUMMARY:

•Identifies opportunities for growth and market share gain globally.

•Creates a global product strategy including positioning and promotion of new and existing products in the upstream and midstream portfolio.

•Provides market analysis support needed to develop an installed base strategy and life cycle management sales methodology.

•Leads the new product roadmap development. Responsibilities include: driving VOC gathering, segmentation, targeting and positioning to align the value proposition, messaging, tactics, commercial channel tools and executing for success.

•Collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop and execute the upstream and midstream segments communication

ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:

Market Research
Analyze, provide and present to the business, including updates to the Sr. leaders, market dynamics, trends, size, competition landscape, opportunities and risks related to the upstream and midstream markets. Ensure constant market knowledge sharing with the front line of the business, working closely with sales, commercial operations & engineering. Develop a served available segment map, with competitor share and penetration, detailed analysis of competitive products and customer base.

Business Analysis
Analysis of existing products and solutions development and delivery opportunities. Inputs into product obsolescence plans. Development of case studies, references and success stories for the upstream and midstream segments. Work with Sales to target specific opportunities for growth, identify target customers, create value story, develop sales tools to aid in the transaction and monitor the activity/ funnel within the segment. Work with sales to improve pricing and hit rate of opportunities.

Education & Experience:
BS degree in Engineering, Business/Marketing, O&G industry related experience in technical marketing. Background within industry of Turbo-Machinery Controls highly desired. Seven or more years of experience in industrial marketing, product marketing & market research. Excellent understanding of specifics of business in a multinational company. Ability to work at all levels within the organization. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to digest complex information into a clear message. Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities

Language Skills:
Must possess a strong command of the English language and grammar and the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization, and to speak correctly and effectively with customers. Possession of other languages desirable.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
Skills should include database, word processing, graphic, spreadsheet, drawing, internet, e-mail, and financial administration experience.

Knowledge & Skills:
Demonstrated communication, influence, interpersonal and organizational skills. Broad minded strategic thinking and proven integrity. Previous ability to successfully interact with customers and engineering groups. Proficiency with computer tools
