ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain complete knowledge of all hotels services/features and hours of operation.
Maintain knowledge of DH&R portfolio and vendors.
Maintain knowledge of corporate marketing communications guidelines.
Handle inquiry calls according to departmental procedure.
Promote positive relations with guests, employees and community.
Maintain high level of knowledge of the competition’s product.
Design and work within the Marketing, Media and PR plans.
Anticipate and respond to all customer and media needs within a timely manner.
Attend designated trade and media trips.
Join local charities and organizations
Attend social, industry and community events.
Maintain file base of client, supplier and media information that is local, regional and national.
Entertain clients and members of the media as necessary.
Travel for media/PR and industry events.
Work in conjunction with other departments to determine and promote newsworthy packages, promotions and events.
Work effectively with all contracted ad or other related agencies.
Participate in/plan special events and media familiarization tours.
Maintain clippings, ROI and PR reports regarding hotels
Design and produce media kits and maintain appropriate website information regarding media and releases
Help produce and promote special events
Maintain and monitor marketing communications expenses and checkbook.
Internal communications throughout hotels to include in room collateral, restaurant promotional pieces, e-mail and e-marketing
Develop integrated strategic marketing communications plans along with supporting budget
Work with division heads and department directors to ensure that all marketing communication plans involve all areas of the hotels
Develop and maintain marketing communication program to our sales channel partners.
Responsible for managing e-marketing and marketing agency relationships
Manage accuracy and content of all hotels and F&B websites
College degree or a minimum of five to seven years of travel industry public relations experience required.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Publisher and Photoshop)
Ability to prioritize, organize work assignments
Ability to promote positive relationships with guests and staff
Ability to ensure confidentiality of guest and hotels information.
Ability to work within a cohesive team or perform job functions independently with minimal supervision.
