Undertake Product Marketing activities to drive growth of products in the Surgical Division. Develop and implement strategies that effectively target key audiences including, physicians, patients, Insurance Companies, Government bodies, and drive execution of supporting tactics. Scope includes both traditional and non-traditional marketing efforts such as advertising, sales collateral and training, competitive/market analysis, finance, medical education, KOL development, website management, new product development and launch. The candidate will successfully oversee all aspects of marketing specific to the product and will possess the ability and experience to drive and execute these responsibilities with minimal management oversight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop the marketing communications plan in alignment with corporate strategies and sales objectives. Oversee all product line communication within the sales and marketing departments including development of systems to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness of all communications. Outline, develop and conduct key opinion leader (KOL) meetings to drive future strategies. Develop, lead and drive key “upstream” product development strategies. Coordinate marketing support for the International product markets. Monitor costs vs. budgets and work with the Sales Managers to maximize exhibit effectiveness/evaluate ROI. Oversee all aspects of sales meetings including development, planning, budget tracking and implementation. Coordinate efforts of vendors (e.g. advertising agency) and monitor effectiveness. Assess market information needs relevant to development or monitoring of strategies and implement market research projects to address such issues. Manage junior marketing associates to support tactical execution of strategic objectives. Lead long-term strategic planning initiatives and manage full annual product marketing budget to ensure accurate program spend. Lead efforts to arm the sales force to drive appropriate utilization of GSP products. Lead marketing efforts around the development, launch and sale of new products both in the US and in International markets. Effectively position products appropriate to each market and ensure consistency in tactical implementation of messages. Originate, develop and implement creative marketing strategies across core functional areas (sales, physician, clinical, medical education) Manage brand identity across multiple International markets. Develop educational pieces to train sales force in key clinical, economic, competitive areas. Manage production of sales and marketing collateral, video, slides and other related materials.   • Bachelor’s degree required in marketing or business.
  • Minimum of 5 yrs product management or marketing experience.
  • MBA Preferred
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communicating skills.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office
  • Experience leading and launching new products
  • “Ownership” mentality; evident leadership skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Evidence of a ‘self-starter’ approach.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in marketing or business (would consider candidate in engineering with demonstrated business acumen).
