International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Marketing Manager to join the growing justice movement, leveraging his or her marketing experience to give a voice to victims of trafficking, slavery and other forms of violent oppression. This individual will be charged with working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment to design and delivering marketing campaigns that mobilizing constituents and generate revenue. The results of these efforts will enable IJM to provide rescue, restoration and justice to for the most vulnerable and oppressed people in the world. This person will be called on to speak into high-level strategies and to provide tactical solutions, execution and measurement for IJM’s marketing projects that successfully meet goals.
This position is based at IJM headquarters in the Washington, DC area and reports to the Sr. Director of Program Marketing & Strategy.
Design and deliver marketing solutions
Work with cross-functional teams to design and deliver marketing solutions that are in line with IJM’s strategic vision and meet IJM’s financial objectives;
Collaborate across the team to formulate and drive overall constituent engagement strategy across multiple departments, using an integrated, multichannel approach to create a holistic, constituent-centric experience;
Support research activities and solicit input from third-party experts to ensure effective audience targeting, program structure and execution plans;
Assist in the development of annual strategic planning documents that will influence all direct marketing activities;
Providing marketing expertise in the brainstorming, development and implementation of marketing initiatives; and
Serve as liaison between IJM’s internal agency, external contractors and departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met on time and within budget.
Develop, coordinate and leverage marketing analytics to drive results
Implement processes that measure and improve constituent loyalty and lifetime value;
Assist in the development and achievement of annual performance metrics including revenue and constituent acquisition objectives;
Manage campaign-specific testing framework and tactics; provide feedback on program and campaign performance results; and
Work closely with analytics team to set project priorities to improve program performance
Improve upon and develop fundraising strategies and tools
Assist with the execution of messaging and branding projects to support fundraising campaigns that deliver better than a 15:1 ROI;
Modify existing US-based fundraising tools to enable IJM to meet or exceed annual revenue goals; and
Identify the most effective and scalable solutions that allow IJM to connect, engage and mobilize constituents, while enabling them to generate awareness and fundraise on behalf of IJM.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an account management role for a marketing/creative agency or in-house department;
Experience with political campaigns or consumer products highly desired;
Analytical and highly adept in marketing goal setting, analytics and strategic marketing measurement;
Superior time management and project management skills; demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines and manage tasks in a fast-paced work environment;
Experience defining, implementing and measuring successful end-to-end marketing campaigns in a resource constrained environment, leveraging an array of marketing mediums (online, digital, social, direct mail, print, etc.);
Experience working in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment; and
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
