MarketStar’s Cisco team has an opportunity available in Chicago, IL, for a Marketing Manager who will be responsible to develop and execute marketing programs that drive sales and increase market share at national direct integrators (NDIs) or direct marketing resellers (DMRs).
Coordinate with marketing management team to extend programs, offers and incentives and modify as appropriate to generate incremental business at national direct integrators (NDIs) or direct marketing resellers (DMRs) located throughout the US and Canada
Develop & communicate new marketing programs to drive sell-through within various business segments and markets, and which are aligned with the strategic marketing direction of Cisco’s Commercial business
Execute marketing plays such as, trainings, table-top events and floor days, at multiple sites, with coordinated creative tools, materials and incentives
Work with corporate and field marketing teams to access both resources & funds to serve the needs of Commercial Sales Associates; influence to build program into their plans
Reports to NDI Account Managers and Sr. Regional Sales Manager, with dotted-line reporting to Channels Marketing Manager
Create fliers and other materials to promote offers and initiatives
Reach across company to access & design incremental programs that drive new business through creative promotions & incentives for fast-growing products / solutions / architectures / Business Units
Explore social media strategy for the team / tie in to corporate initiatives
Advocate key tools, training & business intelligence that enable effective marketing execution for sales teams
College degree in marketing field or equivalent preferred
Microsoft Office (PPT, Word, Excel) and Web experience required
3-5 years of previous marketing experience required, preferably focused on the following groups/products-Direct marketing resellers such as CDW, Insight, PC Connection, PC Mall, Zones and Channel resellers, Channel distributors or Large B2B contact centers selling technical products
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
Strong understanding of general business and finances
Self-motivated, accountable approach, combined with strong sense of teamwork
Affinity for technology. Networking understanding or experience a strong plus
Well-developed interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills; able to effectively interact at all levels
If possible, experience with a CRM tool such as Siebel, Salesforce.com etc.
