Job Scope
Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Advertising and Director of Media to develop and execute advertising campaigns that promote NBC Sports programming (e.g., NFL, NHL, Premier League, MLS, F1, Indycar, Originals). Manager will support creative development process but primary role will focus on strategy, analytics and media principles, to ensure smart, impactful campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct desktop research and mine secondary studies that help inform and shape strategic creative briefs. Work with NBC Sports research, media agencies and external vendors to define viewer profiles and targets.
  • Write marketing plans and one-sheets for all NBC Sports and NBC Sports Network campaigns. Act as the liaison between internal groups – sales, PR, digital, social, affiliates, and production – to ensure all marketing efforts are reflected in one cohesive plan.
  • Work directly with media agency to develop strategic, targeted media plans and buys. Analyze targets, markets, tactics and reach/frequency. Conduct post campaign analyses.
  • Manage Comcast Spotlight, Root Sports and NBC Sports Radio inventory.
  • Manage communications and distribution of assets among internal teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging (i.e., merchandise the work).
  • Seek new opportunities to extend campaign and brand initiatives with buzz-worthy promotions, digital opportunities, partnerships and event marketing.
  • Monitor and report on competitive landscape. Analyze local and national Nielsen ratings to identify pitfalls and growth opportunities.
  • Act as liason to Affiliate Marketing team (Englewood, NJ)
  • Measure ROI on campaigns to determine effectiveness and adjust strategies and tactics to grow our business

    Qualifications/Requirements
    Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, communications or related field.
  • Minimum (5) years marketing experience related to media. Advertising or media agency experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans.
  • Strong analytics. Knowledge of Nielsen ratings a plus.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to manage extensive project load
  • Excellent track-record for meetings, deadlines and following-through on projects.
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Team player
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Power Point.
