The Marketing Manager’s mission is to develop marketing strategies and manage day-to-day operations of the marketing department, including vendor management, content management, media buys, budgeting and management of marketing staff.
Marketing Strategy & Vendor Management
Translate marketing strategies and creative briefs into clear, concise, and impactful creative assets and campaigns that connect across all platforms
Identifies paid and earned media opportunities, establishing ad budgets to support all business units and negotiates favorable pricing, bundling & positioning to maximize marketing reach.
Partner with agencies to develop and implement integrated campaigns with a mixture of digital, traditional advertising and PR
Partner with agencies and freelance designers to provide a full range of creative services in partnership with service-line managers, sales and marketing colleagues. These include but not limited to logos, sales collateral, signage, ad campaigns, web sites, e-mail communications and sales presentations.
Set expectations and standards (build a culture) for creative team attitude, behavior, teamwork and professional development. Lead accordingly.
Work within established budgeting and scheduling parameters, negotiate effectively with outside creative vendors, and manage department activities to ensure a successful flow of work through the department.
Provide marketing services for events and trade shows
Write and review marketing copy as required for print campaigns and sales collateral. Manage corporate style guide and updates as required..
Effectively manage and take complete ownership of workflow including, but not limited to timelines, budgets, vendor contracts, fulfillment and campaigns.
Excellent Communication & Writing Skills
Qualified candidates must have 5 years in the marketing field, with experience in creative design, developing direct mail, print and digital creative including interactive, e-commerce and website/microsite.
Experience research planning and negotiating media buys, specifically direct mail and print..
Bachelor’s degree in marketing/advertising or related discipline with technical training.
Excellent creative presentation skills with the ability to articulate and sell concepts to senior management by discussing how those concepts meet the brand’s strategic marketing objectives. Demonstrated copywriting and editing skills.
Experience in healthcare B2C with the proven ability to instill and manage visual consistency from brand/campaigns across all platforms.
Familiarity with Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS X and the latest Adobe Creative Suite software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Pro; working knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of workflow software and project management tools; knowledge of video production / films, digital marketing, mobile, and social media marketing and communication.
