Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
This brand management position will have a focus on strategy, innovation and driving execution of marketing plans and ROI for the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

This position is responsible for working with the following teams to drive ideas, execution and results: Catering/Convention Services, hotel operations, field marketing and hotel management.

In partnership with cross-functional teams, this person must manage all property-wide marketing programs. For any events, this position will manage and execute, in partnership with the appropriate partners, all event strategy and execution.

This position also requires a candidate who can act as a passionate and knowledgeable brand ambassador internally and externally on behalf of the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop annual brand plans in collaboration with Director of Sales & Marketing
  • Partner closely with cross functional teams to bring brand strategy and messaging to life through available marketing channels
  • Drive marketing execution across all channels: events, PR, partnerships, social media, digital marketing, B&F, Field Marketing, loyalty programming (Starwood Preferred Guest – SPG)
  • Help develop social media strategy to grow brand awareness via relevant channels and platforms
  • Manage the execution of the digital marketing budget. Optimize marketing mix and media strategy to deliver revenue targets and improve effectiveness of spend. Improve effectiveness and ROI of direct response media.
  • Oversee development, execution and analysis on brand packages
  • Support all brand programming for the Sheraton Boston Hotel.
  • Work with partner marketing to solicit new partners which drive value and position the brand in the marketplace
  • Support NAD’s branded service culture including participation in brand immersions
(where necessary)

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience gained in a variety of increasingly responsible marketing roles in demanding growth-oriented and world-class marketing organizations.

  • A marketer who with five or more years experience and a record of superior professional accomplishment with a marketing or brand organization.
  • Experience in retail/hospitality/luxury/lifestyle sector is preferred where brand marketing, events, and project management were key elements of the brand expression.
  • Marketing experiences ideally with non-traditional media: new media, on-line, printed media, promotions, events, partnerships, CEM and public relations.
  • College degree
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Outstanding communication skills necessary to present strategies, conceptual frameworks, and plans to various key stakeholders to persuade, convince, excite and gain alignment.
  • A team player who can quickly establish himself/herself as a trusted member of the management team and be relied upon to get things done. Identifies closely with and is committed to the achievement of the company's overall mission.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks such as producing, executing, and monitoring different projects for different brands.
