: Responsible for coordinating and implementing marketing strategies and goals and day to day management of the marketing function. Implements short-term strategies to ensure subscriber acquisition, growth, retention, and revenue gains and assists in the formulation of long-term goals.

Illustrative Accountabilities: Manages one or more departments in the system's marketing function and personnel by ensuring cost-effective operation within the approved operating budget. Translates corporate and system marketing strategies into operational objectives and plans. Assists in the establishment of annual marketing goals and strategies. Prepares information and data to support the development and delivery of marketing proposals to capitalize on local marketing conditions or to supplement or enhance corporate initiatives or to maximize local initiatives. Analyzes sales and marketing activities, impact on the product line and recommends/implements revisions as necessary. Performs in-depth analysis and industry research. Consults with the others in the system's to evaluate the impact of product, packaging and pricing adjustments. Implements public promotions, tracks and reports on results and revises, as necessary. Coordinates promotions with external business partners; supports marketing activities within the community. Assists I in directing the work of marketing coordinators and staff; provides input into performance evaluations and salary actions.

Position Requirements

Qualifications: A B.A./B.S. degree in marketing, sales or related field is required; and MBA is preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of basic marketing and selling concepts. Requires 3 - 5 years of staff management experience. Must have 3 - 5 years of communications industry experience. Requires strong analytical ability, accuracy and attention to detail. Requires organizational skills, the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects.

Job Functions: Must be able to work in a standard office environment; no known hazardous or disagreeable work conditions. Ability to give public presentations. Ability to communicate by telephone, correspondence, or in person. Ability to operate standard office equipment.
