Responsibilities

- Collaborates with the General Manager and home office on overall marketing strategy and overall progress

- Lead the local market team in reaching monthly and annual member acquisition goals

- Location specific growth planning and execution and identifies overall growth opportunities

- Interface with local government agencies to integrate Zipcar with public transportation systems

- Performs detailed planning, execution and reporting of marketing initiatives, maximizing ROI - Oversees and manages local social media

- Manages Marketing Coordinators who oversee day-to-day activities, scheduling and execution of the Brand Abassadors, the market's field staff. Actively recruits, hires and motivates Brand Ambassadors and monitors results

- Partners with the Zipcar for Business team to identify and expand relationships with businesses of all sizes as well as state, local and federal governments

- Prepares and manages annual budget with General Manager in accordance with media plan to achieve marketing goals

- Orchestrates sponsorships, partnerships, events, promotions and advertising to increase visibility of Zipcar in the community

Qualifications

- 3-5 years prior marketing management experience, 5-8 years marketing experience

- Four year college degree in marketing or a related field

- Budget preparation and variance analysis

- Local Washington, DC market knowledge a must

- Prior experience creating, executing and tracking a marketing plan

- Social media experience

- Prior management experience managing both a field and office-based organization preferred

- Event marketing experience preferred

- Excellent computer skills, MS Office proficiency required

- Experience with Adobe Photshop and Drupal a plus
