Provides support for Marketing division on Corporate initiatives for system projects, ensures requirements for projects are met. Provides field support for division related to personal lines software, systems, workflows, and questions. Communicates to internal customers on P&C system issues. Serves as hardware/software specialist providing support and recommendations.
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS :
Reports to Manager, Personal Lines, from whom overall direction is received.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides business support of existing hardware and software. Makes recommendations for new hardware and software for efficiency and workflow needs.
Provides field support for division related to personal lines software, systems, workflows, and questions. Communicates to internal customers on P&C system issues.
Serves as liaison between field and home office for management of workflows, processes, sales, and products for P&C Personal Lines. Provides support and training on existing reports for users.
Evaluates Marketing field staff P&C processes, sales performance, tools; identifies gaps and makes recommendations to resolve identified issues.
Serves as team member of Marketing Standard Operating Procedure team and Corporate Continuity of Operations team.
Evaluates workflow, processes for P&C insurance products for Marketing division to evaluate current and new technology and needs. Makes recommendations for updates in a timely manner.
Maintains and updates Continuity of Operations plans and asset boxes for field. Provides information needed for required manager training on CoP to Talent Development.
Documents business requirements for assigned projects; develops workflows; performs unit testing, system testing and acceptance testing, meeting deadlines established for project.
Meet or exceed deadlines and requirements for projects and assignments.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Requires business knowledge and a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Information Technology, OR a minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
Requires a systems background that demonstrates an understanding of a combination of system design and technical knowledge/expertise in PC applications and mainframe applications.
Requires strong analytical abilities to review detailed process flows across multiple processes, projects and divisions.
Knowledge / Skills:
Must have or quickly gain Business Objects skills for creating and editing reports.
Must have or quickly gain a working knowledge of SharePoint.
Requires knowledge of the complete Microsoft Office Suite
Requires working knowledge of blackberry and iPhone devices. Must have or quickly gain working knowledge of iPad, tablet, or similar devices.
Requires effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Must have ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Must have the ability to effectively utilize computer systems and other equipment required for essential job functions.
