Ensure compliance of all marketing materials, advertisements, and internal/external messaging and customer marketing media. Responsible for all marketing functions of the bank, including bank branding, advertising, bank's website, major corporate sponsorships and events, market research, public relations, charity sponsorships, and bank sponsored events. Coordinates and prioritizes the work of marketing in the development and implementation of marketing plans and product introductions.

Ensure compliance of all marketing materials, advertisements, and internal/external messaging and customer marketing media. Complete all assigned compliance training.

Maintain the integrity of the First National Bank South Dakota brand by providing direction and support to all markets of the bank in evaluating, identifying, and recommending plans and projects to promote the bank and sell bank products and services by creating and implementing innovative ideas, products, and services that will carry out the banks sales development strategies. Coordinate and assist Market Presidents and Department Managers in the development and execution of their marketing plan. Take direction from the Head of Retail to implement campaigns.

Prepare annual marketing plan and budget to meet strategies for each market and First National Bank South Dakota. Manage projects, events, vendors, and donation requests within approved budget. Plan and coordinate bank sponsorships and charitable events including contract negotiations and event management and promotion. Work with Senior Management Team to plan and coordinate local events. Plan and supervise all bank sponsored events designed for promotional purposes. Manage purchase and inventory of bank specialty items.

Assist in or direct the creation of a product training curriculum to provide the staff necessary training on available and new bank products and services. Assist with the coordination of training. Coach Managers on effective campaign delivery.

Assist in or direct the development of customer newsletters and customer communications. Assist with the coordination and distribution of customer information materials. Collect and record information from customer service surveys.

Develop internal and external communications related to bank's identity and image. Initiate and coordinate all external advertising of bank products, including newspaper, TV, direct mail, radio, billboards, signage and collateral pieces. Work with local media on placement of campaign materials. Work with advertising agencies to deliver quality, image-branded materials within agreed-upon deadlines and budgets. Evaluate effectiveness of advertising with analysis and ROI of campaigns.

Manage First National Bank South Dakota website homepage and content of site ensuring website is current and linked appropriately. Ensure branding and dynamic look of home page design and content.

Promote business development and the banks image through public relations opportunities.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities but will direct the work of others in regards to performing support duties (mailings, etc.).

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years marketing experience.

Previous marketing experience in the banking industry. Working knowledge of bank products and services.

Language Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively. Ability to use proper grammar in communications. Ability to edit written work for spelling and grammar. Ability to present and interpret numerical data effectively. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, media sources, and members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Ability to analyze information skillfully; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to relate with all levels of management and customers. Capable of good judgment.

Other Knowledge and Skills

Proficient in PC operation and demonstrated understanding of applicable software including Microsoft Office Applications and Outlook.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.

Must be organized and detail oriented.

Manage competing demands in a changing environment while working independently most of the time.
