The Houston Marketing Team is looking to hire a Marketing Representative to support our crude oil scheduling and operations within the Offshore Gulf of Mexico and Onshore Gulf Coast regions. The Marketing Representative will understand and work throughout the full value chain of crude oil marketing and commercial operations.

  • Accurately schedule all crude oil and condensate production volumes to contracted delivery locations
  • Communicate daily with our offshore platforms to monitor operations, production and qualities
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of both onshore and offshore crude oil pipeline systems, available transportation options and provide suggestions on downstream alternatives as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of current transportation costs, pipeline tariff rates, regulations and operational conditions on scheduled pipelines
  • Promptly communicate any operational changes, interruptions or relevant information internally and to external counterparts
  • Provide support across Accounting, Production and Land departments in order to ensure accurate cash receipts, proper allocation of crude oil production and current record of marketing arrangements
  • Provide Accounting with all crude oil marketing related information as required by SOX
  • Coordinate efforts within the Marketing Team for set up of new or modification of existing marketing arrangements, as result of asset acquisitions & abandonments and planned capital projects
  • Cross train with current Marketing Representatives in order to ensure effective coverage
  • Complete special projects as assigned


Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Major Disciplines preferred: Business related such as Operations/Inventory Management Systems, Marketing, Finance or Accounting
  • Preferred work experience consisting of (3-4) years within crude oil
  • Established relationships within the crude oil industry and pipeline scheduling experience preferred
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge and experience with offshore/onshore oil & gas pipeline systems
  • Professional in presentation and possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work and communicate effectively within the organization as well as externally
  • Understanding of contractual commitments in order to ensure crude oil production is scheduled accurately
  • Strong attention to detail in order to observe day to day operations and ensure all relevant information is effectively communicated
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and complete work accurately under tight deadlines, often with conflicting pressures
  • Team oriented and available to provide support and back up for natural gas marketing, operations and scheduling as needed
  • Analytical skills with the ability to research and problem solve in situations when information is limited
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; with specific emphasis on Excel - intermediate to advanced level.
  • Due to the nature of offshore and onshore operations, this role will require the ability to work beyond normal business hours including weekends and holidays
  • Upon a high level of performance, opportunity exists to take on advanced crude oil marketing duties
