The Marketing Department of Arnold & Porter LLP has an opening for a Regional Marketing Specialist in the Los Angeles office. The Specialist will work with the West Coast Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) and the Chief Marketing Officer in coordination with the full resources of the Firm’s Marketing Department to provide business development and marketing support for the Western offices, with a focus on the attorneys in the Los Angeles office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the RMM and Business Development (BD) team in the implementation of practice group plans, as well as with the creation and implementation of the LA office and individual attorney business development strategies, plans and projects
  • Providing support on RFPs and pitches (working with the RMM and BD team)
  • Drafting submissions and nominations (e.g., lists, rankings, etc.)
  • Conducting research in preparation for client and prospect meetings, pitches/proposals, and other business development initiatives
  • Maintaining and updating marketing materials, including practice profiles, attorney biographies, headshots (i.e., scheduling new attorney headshots)
  • Tracking attorney business development and visibility raising efforts
  • Coordinating with DC-based events team to support planning and logistics of West Coast events and webinars, as needed
  • Maintaining inventory of all marketing materials for West Coast offices
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of three years’ marketing experience, law firm experience preferred
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of business development processes in a services industry
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capable of handling many projects simultaneously, prioritizing and working well under pressure of multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CRM programs highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary
