Responsibilities

The Marketing Specialist works directly with the Marketing Manager to assist communities in planning marketing efforts to meet their sales and revenue objectives. Acts as the day-to-day liaison between communities and the creative services department.

Review new jobs, assess the scope of the job request and schedule deadlines accordingly.*

Review the traffic report to ensure deadlines are being met and that workloads for the creative team are reasonable.*

Approving (with marketing manager) final artwork prior to print.*

Research community advertising requests, handling insertion orders, contracts, billing and other relating documents for media placement. Ensure art is received by material due date.*

Run kick off meetings with creative team to review plan and scope of new projects.*

Manage special projects as assigned and guarantee workflow deadlines are being met and that design, production and printing are aware of the workflow.*

Consult with communities and advise them on suitable collateral to meet their sales needs.*

Seek approval for final artwork to ensure collateral is correct and meets the client’s needs.*

Processing of print and media accruals and invoices.*

Assist Strategic Specialists with executing marketing plans.*

Provide Marketing Manager with weekly status report of community requests and projects.*

Entering new collateral into the media order system.

Proofing creative project orders.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field preferred.

Two years in advertising agency, corporate marketing or print experience.

Industry experience beneficial.

Proficient in basic Microsoft applications Word, Excel, Power Point.

Knowledge of media placement and buying process.

Familiar with advertising, media, print and design terminology preferred.

Able to travel as needed.

Experience with contact management software beneficial, but not required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Able to work within aggressive time deadlines and with competing priorities.

Works well within a team.

Organized and detail oriented.

Professional appearance.

Problem solving skills.

Able to work independently and as a self-starter.

Able to adapt to a changing work environment.
