The Marketing Specialist will be directly involved in the implementation of the local office marketing plan and provide support for business development activities.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist segment leaders and office leadership with marketing plan development
  • Manage and coordinate execution of marketing plan and maintain program calendar
  • Manage and coordinate logistics for internal and external events, including communications
  • Handle local media relations and develop media contacts
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with local business development efforts
  • Conduct research on niches, market opportunities, events, speaking opportunities and more
  • Leverage national marketing initiatives and manage local implementation/participation
  • Create and manage templates and content for proposals
  • Draft and proofread proposals
  • Serve as gatekeeper of stringent branding compliance standards
  • Maintain local office content on the website
  • Manage mailing and contact lists in Salesforce.com (CRM database)
  • Conduct data input and reporting with Salesforce.com
  • Maintain awareness of general economic and industry trends that could benefit client & prospects
  • Draft and proofread content
  • Serve as liaison with other business units on cross-divisional events and activities
  • Perform all other duties as required or assigned
Essential Skills:
  • Demonstrated strength in project management
  • Organizational skills and extreme attention to detail required
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interface with all levels of Firm management, staff, clients and outside business contacts
  • Ability to work with and meet required deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Shows initiative
  • Knowledge or ability to gain knowledge of all accounting related and specialized functions in the organization
  • Ability to create reports, produce and update databases and spreadsheets
  • Excellent computer skills with: Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint. Website maintenance and/or HTML knowledge, Desktop publishing and Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, company and personnel information
Qualifications
  • BA or BS in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English or related field strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of marketing experience required; and in a professional services firm strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of public accounting or a professional services firm is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required. Applicants should be prepared to provide writing samples
  • Excellent project management, analytical and research skills necessary
  • The ability to self-direct, organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects a must
  • Must be detail oriented and thorough
  • A creative, self-starter with an eagerness to learn
