The Food Marketing Institute (FMI) is a dynamic national trade association, representing the supermarket industry. We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to support the formulation and execution of short- and long-term organizational and event- related marketing plans and

budgets. Candidate will work collaboratively with creative and production teams to develop effective marketing materials. Other duties include: data analysis and marketing research; using your people-skills to manage vendor relations; copywriting for websites and print and electronic marketing collateral; and project coordination and management.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of professional work experience, including at least one year directly and specifically related to this position. Candidate should also have a college degree with a focus in marketing. Candidate must be an effective communicator and have strong computer skills utilizing Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Our top candidate will have a strong knowledge of social media platforms is a requirement and possess strong grammar, proofreading, time management, and project planning skills. Above all, the ideal candidate must have excellent customer-service skills. Candidate should have a professional demeanor with the ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail. Candidate must be able to travel infrequently to company events. Previous experience in the food industry is an absolute plus!
