Handicare an international company that offers aid equipment solutions and support to increase the independence of disabled or elderly people as well as to improve the safety and convenience of those who are caring for them. It is our mission to make everyday life easier. Due to increased business demand and growth, the company is looking to expand the US workforce. Handicare is seeking to fill a new role for a Marketing Specialist that will be located in our convenient Allentown, PA Location. The position will directly report to the President.

The Marketing Specialist will provide a lead role in support of Handicare’s business development efforts in marketing plans and actions that provide brand positioning in the external marketplace; provide competitive intelligence; build brand awareness; generate leads for business development and stay ahead of the curve on most effective media utilization; build an in-house Client Relationship Management tracking tool for effective use as a business development tracking; in conjunction with the leadership team and any external vendors, develop an annual marketing plan, including providing short and long term plan recommendations and analysis; produce a monthly newsletter; develop marketing literature, printing and supply; develop lead-generation and lead-nurturing strategies, programs, and metrics to support revenue goals; manage trade show activities, which includes booth shipments, reception invitations, hotel and meeting registrations, event/restaurant reservations for client meetings; provide proactive planning to increase Handicare’s presence and visibility at trade shows to enhance quality and quantity of client interactions; manage website maintenance and updates, and related social media forums, e.g. LinkedIn, twitter, and other social media; this includes hands-on refinements of website to enhance optimization; adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes; develop and implement outreach campaigns, including mass mailings/emailing campaigns, trade show invitations, trade show follow ups, informational “blasts”, holiday card distributions.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic credential required. Marketing/Business major is preferred. A minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical device or related pharmaceutical industry with a focus in Marketing. CRM, Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Publisher experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage a heavy work load. Ability to multi task and reprioritize quickly and often. Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate to a wide variety of audiences including internal and external colleagues and sponsor clients. Knowledge of current social media tools and application for marketing usage.
