The Mail Chimp email platform and Direct Marketing Programs are key communication tools to inform and engage customers captured in the LSO Microsoft Dynamics CRM database. We have an immediate need for a Marketing Specialist for the LSO brand. We are looking for an experienced self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial and high growth environment, has a passion for marketing and brand strategy and understands the importance of email strategy, direct mail programs and the basics of CRM systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and project management skills and be comfortable with Excel, email and web analytics. You will possess a penchant for digging into programs and processes, problem solving, analyzing numbers and trends as well as an interest and basic knowledge of digital marketing, social media platforms and email marketing metrics. You will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and will play a critical part in the team as you collaborate closely with internal departments including Sales, Communications, Marketing, Operations, as well as external partners. This is a critical role as email will quickly become the most important channel we have to communicate with our customers. You will also gain exposure to other marketing related projects over time and work hand-in-hand with Director of Marketing of LSO.

The Work:

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and implement promotional and transactional email campaigns
  • Strategically determine with the Director of Marketing, optimized marketing list selection and content strategy for campaign deployment
  • Study and make recommendations on content strategy for future deployment
  • Develop and implement new ideas for test email campaigns
  • Analyze email campaign data and provide reports based on this analysis
  • Be the email marketing thought leader, keeping up with the latest trends in email marketing
  • Help shape and influence sites email marketing strategies
  • Quality Assurance/testing email campaign pre-deployment
  • Help deploy Direct Marketing programs with the Director of Marketing
  • Bachelors Degree and 1-2 years experience in an email marketing capacity
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel (knowledge of pivot tables a plus), CRM and email deployment platforms
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong communicator with the ability to develop relationships internally and externally
  • Degree preferred or commensurate experience
