Responsibilities
The Marketing Specialist t is responsible for working with key NBC Sports stakeholders to market and increase sales of the properties of NBC Sports, NBC Sports Network, NBC Sports.com, NHL Network & NHL.com. Reporting to the Manager of Ad Sales Marketing, this position will act as a liaison between the NBC Sports & NBC Sports Network, NBC Sports.com, NHL Network & NHL.com programming and production teams and the sales team to: A: Effectively translate a brand’s/client’s needs into actionable on-air and/or 360 marketing solutions. B: Effectively translate the NBC Sports on-air editorial initiatives into sellable opportunities and communicate these opportunities to the sales team. The Specialist will be Instrumental in fulfillment and recap of partnerships in assigned properties.

  • Assist Sales Manager in developing marketable sales strategies that are customized to fit specific client objectives; includes brainstorming and liaising with the NBC Sports programming/production teams to create compelling television and cross-platform programs (reactive sales support)
  • Assist in developing New Sales Opportunities: Identify high-interest 360 experiences anchored with the television property, new programming features and non-traditional concepts that will serve as compelling thought starters for client conversations (proactive sales support)
  • Create customized presentations, videos, one sheets, email blasts, etc.
  • Work with clients and with internal stakeholders to develop, steward and execute 360 sponsorship programs
  • Manage inventory and production grids for assigned properties. Route and traffic creative materials between clients and creative services. Manage creative approval process.
  • Collaborate and keep team informed of competitive market, industry insights into ad sales marketplace trends, landscape, and potential growth areas
  • Day to day budget administration
  • Oversee the recording and collection of recap materials including video and still images. Assist in identifying opportunities and challenges for future partnerships.
  • Respond in a timely fashion and facilitate consistent communication with sales and production to foster positive working relationships.

    Qualifications/Requirements
    Basic Qualifications
  • College Degree
  • On average 3 years of experience at an agency, media company, sales organization or in sports production, where the individual was responsible for presentation, creative and promotion development.
