Job Description:

The Content Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing and maintaining product content that is utilized in various RHUSA eCommerce tools including webshops. The position reports to the eCommerce Commercial Content Manager.

The Content Specialist will work with the RHUSA Division Sales, Purchasing/Sourcing, IT, Pricing & eCommerce, and Marketing Teams, as well as third party data providers, and product suppliers, to identify product content requirements, integrate data from internal and external sources, and help determine content maintenance solutions.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect product data from internal and external sources including current product databases, suppliers, and 3 rd party data providers
  • Scrub product data to ensure product attribute/content consistency and completeness and to optimize product searchability
  • Maintain data used in eCommerce applications, including adding new products, and managing obsolescence and substitutions
  • Measure and improve data integrity; identify and fix inaccuracies
  • Become knowledgeable in new applications and systems to ensure correct/optimal use of product content
  • Perform training as needed for internal and external sales teams
  • Generate and consolidate statistics on product breadth and depth for required Corporate reporting and dashboards
Language Skills:
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, commissions, credit, rebate and profit, understand and interpret financial data and reports and balance sheets.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.

The employee will be required to travel to different locations nationally. Employee may be required to work overtime, and occasional Saturdays and Sundays.
