The BioProcess Product Manager supports the development and sale of Integrated Wastewater Treatment Solutions for the Water Solutions Business Unit of Siemens E O C&S ISS. This position interfaces with Business Development, R&D, Sales, Engineering, Vendors, customers and project management teams during all phases of projects, but is focused on product definition and improvement/R&D.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:
Work with Marketing, Business Development and Sales management teams to clearly identify customer’s needs
Develop cost-effective Biological Process solutions to meet customer’s needs.
Develop sales tools to assist sales in preliminary selection and technical selling of the solutions
Work with R&D to drive development / testing of innovative solutions
Prepare technical papers and present at conferences
Lead training of sales in use of sales tools
Drive cost reduction of biological solutions
Support project-specific process warranty sign-off
Support design reviews and Process Risk Reviews for proposed solutions
Present proposed solutions at customer meetings in special situations
Support Marketing Communications related to Bio Processes
Provide process support to the operations team during project execution

Qualifications and Experience:
This position requires the following qualifications and experience:
Minimum of a BS in Chemical, Environmental or Civil-Sanitary Engineering, Biological Sciences, or equivalent biological wastewater treatment experience
Minimum of 15 years bioprocess applications engineering and equipment cost estimating experience, preferably in capital equipment or system sales with mandatory experience in the oil and gas industry
Minimum of 10 years experience in the industrial wastewater industry to include: design and application of biological wastewater treatment processes, operation of complex industrial plants (commissioning, start-up, process performance testing, daily operations)
Thorough knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including physical/chemical separation, membrane/MBR separation, ion exchange and anaerobic and aerobic biological treatment (MBR, AS, RO, UF) with sound understanding of carbon-assisted bioprocesses
Knowledge of the refinery and petrochemical processes and their impact on wastewater quantities and characteristics
Understanding of solutions costing, including mechanical components and basic/detailed engineering
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is required.
