DataStax is seeking a positive, smart, proactive Marketing Operations Manager to join our fast-paced, lively and fun marketing team and support the company's lead generation efforts. The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for end to end marketing operations, including: executing marketing campaigns through Marketo, managing contact and data strategy, and marketing effectiveness dashboards and reporting. In addition
  • Run our marketing automation system, including system administration, creation and maintenance of email marketing campaign set up and performance evaluation of campaign activity
  • Optimize lead qualification for sales and ensure successful follow-through of qualified leads
  • Initiate and execute the internal process for lead management, ensuring that all qualified leads are delivered to the appropriate sales manager at the right time
  • Collaborate with others in marketing and sales to utilize the website as a strategic demand generation tool, driving conversion from visitors to leads
  • Create, own, and drive repeatable lead nurturing programs to move prospects through the marketing and sales pipeline as well as drive user activity among those who have come in through the Company's community site
  • Manage, monitor and update lead scoring


The stuff youll need to succeed:
  • Minimum 4-6 years managing marketing campaigns from start to finish - strategy, execution and measurement - and deep expertise with best of breed marketing automation systems such as Marketo, Pardot, and Eloqua
  • Experience with
  • Have a proven track record of success in demand generation, devising and executing integrated marketing campaigns, and driving sales growth through qualified lead generation
  • Ability to think strategically as well as willingness to roll-up-the sleeves and do 'whatever it takes' to meet individual and company goals
  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A/B testing and ROI analysis
  • Understanding of HTML, basic image editing functions
  • Results focused - able to track and measure effectiveness of all programs
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with Google Analytics
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; with 3-5 years related experience and/or training
  • Familiarity with website analytics (Google Analytics, Omniture, Coremetrics, other) a plus
  • Absolute attention to detail and organization
  • Adaptable, with ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines, work in a fast paced environment and quickly learn new software applications and tools
  • Must work well independently as well as with a team
  • Experience working with a direct sales team a plus
  • Develops best practice marketing program recommendations.
  • Owns pursuit of industry knowledge, best practices and trends as it pertains to marketing automation and campaign management
