Virginia ABC is seeking a consumer Marketing Analyst. The Marketing Analyst will assist the Marketing Manager in planning, implementing, and evaluating ABC "consumer engagement and outreach" marketing strategies and programs that grow retail sales, profits and return to the Commonwealth.

Specific duties include supporting the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director by performing ad hoc sales analysis, providing research and analysis, analyzing the impact of programs on sales and profitability, forecasting and trend analysis, and managing vendor relations and activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Selected candidate must have knowledge of the principles of marketing, merchandising and retailing; statistical theory; data collection methodology; and accounting practices. Experience applying research and analysis techniques; performing statistical and financial analysis; presenting findings; developing reports; and utilizing PC applications including databases, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics and demographics is needed. The demonstrated ability to work independently or in groups; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and the ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external contacts at various levels within the business community is crucial. Should also have experience with Access, Excel and query writing.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Retailing/Merchandising, or related field.

Special Requirements
Position involves statewide travel with occasional overnights.
