Job Description
Working in a team environment, develop and execute long-term business plans for assigned Emerson Process Management accounts and aligns Sales and Division strategies within the company to meet overall sales objectives.

Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Eight (8) years industry experience; four (4) of which must be in sales or marketing.

  • Establishes clear understanding of accounts current business conditions, locations of manufacturing, buying processes, competition, suppliers, and organizational structure. Develops a detailed understanding of the customer’s business strategy. Prepares a detailed business plan to address how the company can best meet the customer’s needs. Develops an activity plan based on the business plan. Monitors and reports progress to the plan on a regular basis. Develops long-term relationships with key decision makers within the account to build understanding of business needs and potential solutions. Delivers Rosemount’s Value Proposition to the customer. Acts as host and facilitator for developing relationships between company executives and equivalent levels of management within the account. Develops model to serve key account consistently on a global basis. Work with customer to develop International Purchasing Agreements as appropriate. Focus on early identification and positioning on major projects achieving maximum company content.
  • Develops the overall strategic program for the account at all levels of the sales force involved with that account. Keeps account teams informed and helps coordinate activities within the account or site. Communicates the status of account development with Divisions and Sales organizations on a regular basis. Develops and/or provides necessary training to Sales on strategy and message to the customer. Participates as a leader or team member of Global Project Pursuit activities for Key Accounts projects. Provides booking and sales report information for the account to Division and Sales organizations. Monitors the effect of pricing, discounting, and worldwide impact of International Purchasing Agreements. Proposes specific programs within the Divisions to meets customer’s needs. Works with Divisions to streamline customer and Division business process. Communicates accounts Key Performance Measures to Divisions.
