SUMMARY:

Provide signature massage and skin care treatements. Responsible for providing spa guests with safe and effective services and consistently exceeding guest expectations. Demonstrates respect, sensitivity and concern for guest's needs in a professional manner. Maintains and monitors work schedules as booked, exercising dependability and willingness to work with schedule flexibility. Uphold company standards of conduct, grooming, dress, and personal hygiene.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sets up workstation with necessary supplies.
  • Escorts guests to and from treatment.
  • Inquries about contraindications before beginning service.
  • Begins and ends spa treatments on time.
  • Assists with cleanliness of all spa areas; keep work areas clean and treatment rooms organized according to standards.
  • Disposes of dirty linens to the proper area.
  • Possesses complete knowledge of all services, packages, promotions, and retail products presently offered by the spa.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); college degree in hospitality or business related field preferred and minimum of 2 years of experience in the Medical, Salon, or the Spa industry; resort experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses or Accreditations:

Licensed massage therapist by a state-recognized school required; dual certification in therapy preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests and employees throughout the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
